Kent was born out of a promise a small boy made to himself long before he had the tools to keep it. He grew up in a place where poverty was the loudest sound in the room, and faith was the only thing louder. At eight years old, holding his father Edward's hand on dusty jobsites, he watched ordinary men turn sand, block, and sweat into someone's whole life. He did not know the word yet, but that was the day he fell in love.

Love, it turns out, does not pay for school. So he worked. He carried, he cleaned, he served, he learned to say yes sir before he was tall enough to shake a hand properly. No guidance, no rich parent, just discipline and hunger. Every paycheque from every menial job went into the same quiet plan. Feed the family this week, fund the next certification next month. One course. One exam. One late night after another shift. He did it hungry, he did it tired, and he did it grateful, because every credential was another brick laid toward the boy's promise.

What he learned along the way still guides him now: a project, any project, is someone's trust made physical. Whether it is a family home, a road, a parking lot, a renovation, or a full civil scope, he treats every site the same way. He walks it, questions it, and stays with it until the last detail is right. People, not just buildings, are what he is really taking care of.

He is a believer first. PMP certified, an OREA member, and more than 20 years on active sites across Canada and Nigeria. He still shows up like that eight year old boy on his father's site, wide eyed and quietly in love with the work, determined to build something worthy of the trust placed in his hands.
